STATEMENT of PUPPET ARCHIVE

In the previous works, I photographed a lot of character materials, and afterwards using a digital collage to create a fictitious idol group with celebrities and politicians. In this new series, I want these character materials to be placed in some counterfeit scenes. As a result, those images grow more dramatized, and eventually become an illusory empire.
By re-encoding many historical documents, movie stills, ancient paintings, classical documentary photographs and other materials from the internet, the fictitious idol group simulated the original events, figures, and their behaviors from those materials, tampered with the original model of reality and destroyed “rationality”. Thus, the false documentation was constituted in this spatio-temporal disorder. The false documentation is a montage of pseudo-history. On the other hand, political fables are also symbolling of the future.
在我之前创作的作品里,我拍摄了大量的人物素材,用电脑拼贴的方式虚拟了一个类似玩偶的团体,有明星和政治人物等形象。在新的系列里我想让这些身体零件寄寓在某一个看似真实的赝品图像里,更加夸大其戏剧成分,并通过这种制造来组成一个虚幻的帝国。
通过重新编码复原来自网络搜索的历史文献、电影截图、古代绘画、经典纪实摄影等素材资料。由玩偶团体来模拟人、事件和行为,篡改原有的现实模型并摧毁“合理性”,在错乱时空中构成一种虚假的文献。使其成为一部伪历史的碎片蒙太奇,即政治寓言也是未来象征。
